Montgomery College's rigorous health sciences programs have additional admission and enrollment requirements. Learn more about our programs, then follow the steps below when you're ready to apply.
Some programs may have additional steps or requirements; attend an information session for details.
Most health science programs hold monthly information sessions to share information about the curriculum, the admission requirements, and the application process. Most information sessions are conducted by the Program Coordinator with special guests to answer questions about the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS).

If you haven’t already applied to Montgomery College, submit the admissions application. If applicable, submit official copies of any prior learning: college, military, and Excelsior College Exam transcripts; results from international transcript evaluation services; and AP, IB, CLEP, DSST or DANTES test scores to the Office of Records and Registration for review. If you attended Montgomery College, DO NOT include a transcript from Montgomery College. We will generate one when you submit your Health Sciences Application. A transcript evaluation will help you to ensure that you do not duplicate coursework. Review the requirements for each program (PDF, ) .
The ATI TEAS is a timed, computer-based, multiple-choice assessment test used by the Health Sciences Institute and Center at Montgomery College to evaluate the academic preparedness of entry-level health sciences students in reading comprehension, math, science, and English and language usage.
We strongly encourage students applying to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Polysomnography programs to prepare for the TEAS. The TEAS is not required for surgical technology. Plan to attend a TEAS information session to understand how TEAS is used in the application process, to connect with available resources, and to learn how to best prepare for the exam.
Meet with a College counselor for help creating your academic plan. Be sure to complete steps 1 through 3 above first.
After studying for the TEAS, register to take the exam. You will take the TEAS at one of Montgomery College's Assessment Centers.
In addition to the main MC admissions application, you must submit a completed Health Sciences Programs Selective Admissions Application and all related materials by the deadline.
